Senior Scouts started nationally in 1946, for boys aged 16 to 19. However, the Group had an unofficial Senior Scout Patrol in 1943. The Senior Scout Troop was registered in 1948.
Initially, it was "bolted-on" to the Scout Troop as an additional Patrol. But in 1959, the first Senior Scout Master (Ken Atkin) was appointed and it took on a life of its own, with its own Den at the rear of the Parish Hall.
In 1963, the Troop won the first ever Rivelin District Westbourne Cup Competition.
The Senior Troop and Rover Crew were disbanded in 1966
following publication of The Advance Party Report.
At its peak, the Troop had a membership of 16.
