Individual Awards - Leaders and Supporters
The Chief Scout's Commendation
for Meritorious Conduct is awarded for meritorious conduct of a high standard.
The Silver Wolf is awarded
in recognition of sevices to Scouting of the most exceptional nature - it is not normally awarded until at least a Silver Acorn has been gained. This means that it is seldom awarded for less than 30 years' service.
The Silver
Acorn is awarded for specially distinguished service - it is not normally awarded until at least the Award for Merit has been gained. This means that it is seldom awarded for less than 20 years' service.
The Award for Merit (formerly the Medal of Merit) is awarded in recognition of outstanding services of not less than 12 years. (The Bar to the Award for Merit may be awarded after a period of not less than five years of further outstanding service).
The Chief Scout's Commendation for Good Services is awarded in recognition of good services - not less than five years' good service which stands out.
The Thanks Badge is the means of expressing appreciation to those who are not Members or Associate Members of the the Scout Association but who have been of service to Scouting.
