1950 The second National Bob-a-Job Week raises £30 (2012 - £835)
A new Troop flag is dedicated - only the Troop's second since 1915
The Rover Crew flag is dedicated
1951 A new Group Council is formed
A new Rover Den opened - 31, Psalter Lane [30130][30140]†
1952 The Group receives the first job from the Lord Mayor of Sheffield in Bob-a-Job Week [30145]
At the Windsor Rover Scout Parade - T Mounsey represents Sheffield
At the National Scout Conference in Filey - RSL P Rouse represents Sheffield
The beret, as an alternative headdress, is introduced for Senior and Rover Scouts(1)
1953 The 59th's Rover Crew divides to form a BP Guild with K B Jones as Chairman whilst a smaller Crew remains with P Rouse as RSL
1955 The Rover Scouts hold an "Old Folks Tea Party" in the Parish Hall
1954 The beret becomes permitted uniform for Boy Scouts
1956 The Group receives the first job from Lord Mayor of Sheffield in Bob-a-Job Week [30146]
The Senior Scout Troop visits the Channel Islands
The Rover Crew wins three cups in three competitions
The Group's membership passes 100 for first time - Group total 107
New rules for Rover Scouts are published
1957 New Rover Rules are introduced and an upper age limit is imposed
June - Centenary Jubilee World Jamboree, Indaba and Moot, Sutton Coldfield. Scout R Gregory attends along with K Atkin (RSL) (Deputy Leader, South Yorkshire contingent to Moot)
Highest number of Cub Leaping Wolf badges awarded - 16
The Cub Pack reaches its highest membership - 58
The Scout Group reaches its highest membership - 109
1958 Six First Class Badges are awarded in one year
1959 The first Senior Scout Leader is appointed - K Atkin
The first (and only?) Rover Scout Baden Powell Award is won - A Whittaker
The first Honorary Group Scoutmaster is appointed - J T Ash
The Group's first Queen's Scout Award is presented - J R Markham
